"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." -- MLK
Join us tonight for our meeting, 'From Fear to Faith'
Fear has been at the core of my experience in dealing with addiction. I have had to face fears I never dreamed I would face. I lived in state of panic and anxiety for a long time.
This program gives me the tools I need to turn fear into faith. I have learned that voicing my fears and accepting my feelings helps me work through them so I can release them.
When my husband was in active addiction, I feared that he would die or hurt someone. Now that he is in recovery, I fear that he will relapse.
What I have come to realize is that this fear is mine. This is that 'my side of the street' stuff we talk about in this program. My fear is something that I need to find the 'courage to change'.
Join us tonight and share with us how you are coping with your fear. What helps you turn your fear into faith? What tools do you use? We can learn so much from one another. That is the beauty of this program.
