Which approved books have you found most helpful?

With the understanding that addiction is a disease and the realization that we are powerless over it as well as over people's lives, we are ready to do something useful and constructive with our own.

Then, and only then can we be of any help to others.

Which approved books have you found most helpful?

I need and want some resources, but the list is so long with nothing to really explain what each of them are.

So I'll ask: Which of the things on the approved-literature list have you found to be the most helpful to you and why?

Also, do you happen to know if any of these things are available in e-book or app format? I'd really LOVE to have things I can pull up and read on my iPhone when I most need them.

The SESH book is the daily reader and it is AMAZING!! I would definitely start with that.

Paths to Recovery is an incredible resource and guide to the steps.

Those are my top 2 favorites. They have really helped my recovery.
With love & appreciation,

The little Blue Book.

The little Blue Book has passages like Helping, Changing Ourselves, The Family, and others that you will not find anywhere else.

Hey Buela,
SESH! I love my SESH daily reader. It is almost always exactly what I need to hear :)

There are some recovery apps but I cannot mention names here and they are not official NarAnon material - I think they have more to do with AA.

I also created my own Recovery Journal where I write down sayings or quotes that I like. I also paste in brochure pieces or responses I get at online meetings if I want to hang on to them. I look at that a lot, even when I am not adding anything to it.

Here is a link to the online NarAnon webstore, there are descriptions of each piece of approved lit there: http://www.nar-anon.org/Nar-Anon/Web_Store.html

Oh, and the pamphlet on Detachment. Something else you won't find anywhere else.
